In the very beginning
This picture shows the signing of the papers in which Lloyd Smith
conveyed just over 11 acres of land to the Whitestown Lions Club. These
papers created the "Whitestown Lions Club Park".

The first order of business for the park renovation was to clean up the
grounds. Several old/dead trees were cut downand burned, and thick
brush was removed from fence rows. Many hours of hard labor went into
the clean-up project but the results made a huge difference in the park and
paved the way for future projects.
